I get a network error when I try to connect to the library databases. How can I get connected?

Answer

To help avoid network errors, be sure you are connected to Eduroam when on campus. Eduroam is USU's wireless network. To connect to Eduroam through USU, you must first register your device and install the Eduroam security certificate.

To connect a PC or Mac Laptop to Eduroam:

  1. While connected to guest.usu.edu, go to eduroam.usu.edu

  2. Follow the prompts to name your device.

  3. Sign in with your A# and password.

  4. Follow the prompts to download and install the Eduroam security certificate. Detailed instructions are at USU IT Service Now - Connect to Eduroam Secure WIFI.

  5. On Mac devices you will need to go to Settings > Profiles to finish installing the Eduroam security certificate.

For steps to connect iPads, iPhones, or Chromebooks see the links below.

Contact the USU IT Service Desk for additional help with on-campus WIFI.
