What is interlibrary loan? How do I use it?

Answer

Interlibrary loan is a way for you to borrow a book or get an article that is not owned by USU.

How to request an item through Interlibrary Loan

The first time you use interlibrary loan, you will need to set up an account before submitting a request.

Make sure your email address is current when you make your account, since that is where you will receive PDFs of articles you request.

Interlibrary loan is a free service provided by USU Libraries. However, there may be late fees if items are not returned by the due date. Interlibrary loan renewals, if available for your item, must be done through the interlibrary loan system.

Contact ILSRQST@usu.edu for questions about interlibrary loan items.

As always, don't hesitate to ask a librarian if you need help submitting an interlibrary loan request!
